Former ATLANTA HAWKS Employee MARGO KLINE is suing the organization because she claims that HAWKS External Affairs Director DAVID LEE created and promoted a culture of discrimination against White People, particularly WHITE WOMEN!!!
According to the lawsuit,White Female KLINE claims that Black Male LEE was often dismissive and exclusionary toward White Employees, and, often hired and promoted Black Employees who often were under-qualified, or; simply unqualified.
For 5 years, MARGO KLINE worked in the team's Corporate Social Responsibility Department as a Community Development Coordinator.
AJC reports KLINE claims the HAWKS ignored her complaints, unfairly scrutinized her work, impeded her ability to successfully do her job, and; frequently made her the object of gossip and ridicule.
Three weeks after a final notice regarding her conduct, she was fired in March 2017. She claims her requests for suggestions on hew own improvement were ignored.
In December 2017, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) granted her the right to sue after she filed a charge of EMPLOYMENT DISCRIMINATION.
The HAWKS have released a statement;
“We take all claims of discrimination seriously and have performed a thorough review of these baseless claims. The case was quickly dismissed at the EEOC level. We deny these claims and will vigorously defend against them.”
