STEPHAN JAMES and KIKI LAYNE are ALONZO HUNT and TISH RIVERS in the forthcoming film IF BEALE STREET COULD TALK which is directed by BARRY JENKINS and adapted from the 1974 novel of the same name by the late JAMES BALDWIN!!!
STEPHAN and KIKI are the cover story for the new issue of ROLLING OUT Magazine.
Here are a few interview interludes:
Kiki Layne said;
“I think for us, we knew how important it was for us to establish a connection that would translate on-screen. It was essential for Stephan and [me] to figure out who these characters were because their love for each other is so essential to who they are as people. In order for us to tap into that in an honest way, we knew that we would have to just dive right in and figure out how to drop walls between us that would ordinarily take more time to develop.”
Stephan James said;
“We both accepted the importance of the material and were just willing to give ourselves to each other. And also when you have a guy like Barry Jenkins, who helps you break down those walls and helps you find sort of an intimate space despite being on a film set, that can be kind of crazy at times.”
Brian Tyree Henry said;
“I really appreciate [Barry Jenkins] giving me the opportunity to be a part of this, especially as it relates to my character, Daniel. The weight of those scenes was pretty amazing. We really get into what it means to be a Black man in America. Even though the film is set in the 1970s, what Daniel is talking about with Fonny could be any Black man in this country today. It could be me having a conversation with my nephew. It could be me having a conversation with my best friend. Daniel is the story of so many people of color, of so many Black men in this country just experiencing this strife."
Barry Jenkins said;
“Mr. Baldwin has many different modes. One of those modes is the protest, the anger. And then there’s the lush, the romantic, the hopeful. I think with If Beale Street Could Talk, you find the best pairing and balancing of those two things. It was a challenge worth undertaking.”

BATON ROUGE, LA-native TMZ Star/ The RED PILL PODCAST Host VAN LATHAN was recently at the POWER 105.1 studios in NYC to have a sit-down with ANGELA YEE, CHARLAMAGNE Tha GOD, and DJ ENVY for The BREAKFAST CLUB!!!
During the session, VAN and TBC Crew discussed a variety of topics including:
"We knew that if we didn't at least attempt it, we would have heard it in the locker room."
"Not even us -- the crowd; the crowd would have attacked them,"
"Man, it was fun. It wasn't no disrespect at all to Washington or whatnot. It's one of those things you don't get to do very often. To do it with the team, unless it gets broken tomorrow, it's something that we'll remember."
"We've got two of the best point guards ever to play the game. I wish I could say that I'm over there doing something that I'm not. We're just riding those two guys, and they just know how to play. And I really think it's energy. The ball finds energy, and positive things happen."Watch the video to relive the magic of the Rockets swishing ALL 26 Three-Point Shots.

Yesterday, Wednesday, December 19, 2018, the UNITED STATES SENATE cleared legislation to finally make LYNCHING a federal hate crime!!!
THE HILL reports the bill was introduced by Sens. KAMALA HARRIS (D:CA), CORY BOOKER (D:NJ), and TIM SCOTT (R:SC), and makes lynching punishable as FEDERAL HATE CRIME.
From the Senate Floor, Sen. KAMALA HARRIS said;
"This is a historic piece of legislation that would criminalize lynching, attempts to lynch and conspiracy to lynch for the first time in America's history. Lynching is part of the dark and despicable aspect of our country's history that followed slavery and many other outrages in our country,"The bill passed the full senate by Voice Vote. It was introduced inJuly 2018 and unanimously cleared the Senate Judiciary Committee in October. In addition to Sens. Booker, Harris, and Scott, the bill was formally co-sponsored by 35 other senators.
Sen. CORY BOOKER said;
"For over a century members of Congress have attempted to pass some version of a bill that would recognize lynching for what it is, a bias, motivated act of terror. ... We do know the passage of this bill, even though it cannot reverse irrevocable harm that lynching was used as a terror of suppression, the passage of this bill is a recognition of that dark past."
ATLANTA native Singer-Social Media Star SUMMER SUMMERELLA BOISSIERE is the cover story for the current issue of ROLLING OUT Magazine!!!
Here are a few interview interludes with SUMMERELLA:
What do you enjoy most about social media?
The best thing about social media is you get a chance to make someone’s day or make them smile. If a person is sad or going through something, they may not go out of their house or talk to people, but if they go online and see something that makes them smile, they may feel better. You have an opportunity to influence people in a positive way, make them laugh. To me, that’s the best thing about social media.
Why do you think your following grew so fast? What do people love about you that makes them want to follow you and support your movement?
I think people love my silly and goofy side. But I think they like that I’m just honest, and they see me and my entire life. It’s not just one thing. I’m just honest about pretty much whatever I’m going through at the time. When I released my first single, it went to No. 11 on Billboard with no label and no one behind me, so it was all due to my supporters — aka my best friends — from social media.
Social media is one of the biggest influences on young people today. What message do you want to send young people watching you online?
I want them to see me and realize they should never give up on themselves. It doesn’t matter where you are right now. When I first graduated, I was living back at home with my mom. I didn’t go to college. I felt like a bum. I didn’t know what I was going to do. But even in that state, I didn’t give up on myself, and I believe that’s what made the biggest difference. I wanted to give up sometimes, but I didn’t. I never gave up. That’s the message I hope people get when they look at my page.

Last night CNN: CUOMO PRIME TIME Host CHRIS CUOMO had CNN TONIGHT Host DON LEMON on his show to respond to a racist, xenophobic anti-immigration statement made by FNC: TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT Host TUCKER CARLSON!!!
Multiple media outlets are reporting that there has been a vast exodus of advertisers away from TUCKER CARLSON TONIGHT since last week when the host spoke on immigration stating ...immigration makes the USA poorer, dirtier,. and more div.ided.
TUCKER CARLSON said;
"The left says we have a moral obligation to admit the world’s poor. Even if it makes our own country more like Tijuana is now, which is to say poorer and dirtier and more divided.”
HUFFPOST reports CHRIS CUOMO said;
“Is he really talking about human beings that way? I don’t ordinarily play hateful speech on the show, but it’s important for people to see what someone’s trying to pass off as news.”
DON LEMON said;
... Fox as “the CNN, MSNBC criticism channel” that “almost always” leads with something “we’re doing that they hate, and they hate because we’re actually talking about real news and the Mueller investigation and what’s actually going on.”
