What makes it special: It’s the perfect partnership of outstanding hospitality and exquisite food in an iconic setting in New York City that makes Eleven Madison Park the No.1 in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. Co-owners Will Guidara and Daniel Humm have put their lives into breaking down the walls between dining room and kitchen, making sure the customer experience is harmonious from start to finish.
About the chef: Swiss-born cook Daniel Humm started working in kitchens at the age of 14 and won his first Michelin star at 24. He became executive chef at Eleven Madison Park in 2006 when the restaurant was still owned by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and in 2011 he and Guidara took over ownership. The pair now also oversee the food and beverage spaces at the NoMad hotels and have written several cookbooks together.
Typical dishes: Humm’s signature roasted duck has had many iterations, from the classic honey and lavender version to honey-glazed with turnips and huckleberries. Dishes on the seven-course tasting menu also include celery root cooked in a pig’s bladder, which Humm cites as a career-defining creation.

ALGEE SMITH On ROLLING OUT MAG!!!

I early 2017, ATLANTA-native Actor ALGEE SMITH gained great notoriety for portraying singing group NEW EDITION Lead Singer RALPH TRESVANT in the BET biopic mini-series, The NEW EDITION STORY, and; now stars as CLEVELAND LARRY REED for the forthcoming biopic big screen film  DETROIT!!!

In anticipation of the opening of film DETROIT, he covers the new issue of ROLLING OUT Magazine.

Here are some interview interludes:

On the emotional impact that shooting the motel scene had on him and the other actors in the scene:

“When we first got walked on set for the motel scene, we didn’t know what was really going on,” Smith said. “So we walked into the motel not knowing that we would be there for the next two weeks. And this is where we’re going to be shooting the whole movie. But I’m glad she started there because that was the roughest time to shoot and we just got it out of the way. It was so hard. I was lightheaded on set every day. Breathing so hard, yelling, and screaming. I would leave the set hoarse. But we were really trying to give a glimpse of what these people actually felt when we’re not really even scratching the surface.”

“Will Poulter [who plays White police officer Krauss] just broke down crying and asked director Kathryn [Bigelow], ‘How many more times do we have to shoot this,’ So when he broke down, the whole set just stopped. I went outside to help him out a little bit and I just broke down crying with him. And we all felt the weight of this project. You have people behind the scenes and behind the cameras that are trying not to shed tears. Makeup people trying not to shed tears. So it was a very tough thing for all of us. And that was probably the biggest break down on set.”

On meeting the real-life CLEVELAND LARRY REED:

“I didn’t meet [Larry Reed] until the last week of shooting the movie,” Smith said. “When I first met him, he just opened up his house door. He looked at me and he just burst out laughing. He just looked at me and said, ‘Yeah, you’re going to play me real good!’ And we had a three-hour conversation and he showed me everything about The Dramatics. He showed me where all the cracks were in his skull, where the gashes were still all over his body [from being beaten by police]. He talked to me about how it felt that night. How it felt to lose his best friend. He was 18 when that happened. So to have experienced that and he was so innocent. I feel like that was one thing that Kathryn really did well. She painted that picture of Larry’s innocence. He’s a solid man and he’s still standing strong today. But I don’t think he fully got over that. I don’t think I would be able to fully get over that. He was telling me where he found his peace, though. And it shows in the movie where he finds his peace and his soul and the higher power. Because when he walks into that church, he feels like that’s the only place he can go. So that’s where he found his peace.”

On portraying RALPH TRESVANT for The NEW EDITION STORY:

“My dad used to tour playing guitar with New Edition. So I knew all of the songs. But all of that went out of the window because I had to play this guy who was still performing and touring. So it was a lot of pressure to get it right. But when we started filming it, we knew how potent it would be because of New Edition’s legacy. So even if we didn’t do the movie, New Edition’s name alone stands tall. So we knew how important it would be. When we saw it cross over into generations and you got 3-year-old kids singing the songs and trying to do the dances, that blows my mind. Because then you got the older people that actually grew up with New Edition that’s doing the same thing. And then you got people that’s my age, so it’s like we hit three different generations of people and that doesn’t get done a lot. So I’m extremely blessed for that. But that was crazy seeing all those kids really feel that, that’s how you know it’s real music.”

On the impact that he would like for this film to have on people:

“I want people to feel a lot. One thing that we talked about as a cast is we just want people to be educated. We want old, young, and people of all races to see this. And we also want to spark empathy. We want to open up a dialogue and figure out where we can even start, seeing that nothing has changed in the justice system. How can we start a change now? We just want to open up the conversation. And if it takes putting Black policemen in Black neighborhoods, then that’s what we have to do. We have to figure out a way to make it work because it’s not working right now. I just want people to be open-minded and willing to just talk.”

Have YOU ever attended a PROFESSIONAL BRA FITTING?

If your answers for the last two questions was NO, and, you are in the comfort and privacy of your own home, then; NOW would probably be a good time for YOU to TAKE OFF YOUR BRA.

PARFAIT LINGERIE / says;

WHAT Is A BRA FITTING?

A bra fitting is when a PROFESSIONAL BRA FITTER determines your bra size, solves your bra issues, and offers new bras based on the size, shape, depth, and placement of your breast tissue. Any woman can get a professional bra fitting and there are many retailers that offer complimentary bra fitting services.

You should consider a professional bra fitting if you’ve recently lost or gained weight, become pregnant, gave birth, or started nursing.
It’s a good idea to visit an expert if you feel any discomfort or pain while wearing your bras, your bra size has changed, or none of your bras currently fit.

It’s also important to see a professional bra fitter if you’re experiencing any of the following with your current bras: breast tissue spilling out of the cups, cups gaping, wires popping out, breast tissue and underarm soreness while wearing the bra,straps falling off your shoulders, the bra riding up in the back, band feeling too tight or too loose, etc.
Even if you aren’t currently experiencing any issues with your bras, it’s still a good idea to get a professional bra fitting every 6 months to one year. The average life span of a bra is 3-6 months, so realistically, you’ll likely need new every day bras around that time anyway!
TOP 3 REASONS Why YOU Should GET A PROFESSIONAL BRA FITTING:

1. PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

The best professional bra fitters are bra doctors and experts in their field. They can diagnose any current bra problems and introduce you to bras that will work for you. They can also save you time in the fitting room and their professionalism helps to make the fitting experience more comfortable.
2. EXPERIENCE
Bra fitting isn’t an exact science, so experience is invaluable. Many retailers offer extensive training programs for new fitters and take the bra fitting process very seriously. The best bra fitters are able to offer solutions to your everyday bra problems. For example, they can help with fixing straps that fall off the shoulders, bands that ride up in the back, and breast tissue spillage or gaping cups.
3. PEACE Of MIND
Professional fitters offer peace of mind when it comes to fit. They take the stress and uncertainty out of bra fitting. Bra fitters know their products inside and out. They also know that sizes can vary from brand to brand and style to style. Ultimately, their expertise can save you a lot of time and money. You won’t have to deal with the hassle of returning a bra you ordered online that doesn’t fit.
Most importantly, professional bra fitters are there to help you. They want you to be happy with your bra and comfortable with the fit and feel. They don’t want you to suffer from back pain and discomfort or struggle with a bra that isn’t right for you.
Many of the women who fit bras professionally have experienced the same bra issues that you might be currently experiencing. Their experience allows them to be sympathetic and understanding of your concerns. They’re also excellent problem solvers!

LADIES;
So, YOU have now finally decided on a PROFESSIONAL BRA FITTING; what should you expect?

UDERSTAND SIZING, BE CONFIDENT:
To figure out your bra size, remove your top and keep your bra on. Have someone measure you around the smallest part of your lower bust, where the band sits and round up or down to the nearest even number. Then, measure the fullest part of your bust. Go through an letter for each inch of difference and you've found your cup size.

SISTER SIZES:

If a bra isn't available in your size or isn't sitting just right, you can try a "sister size." Cup sizes do make up a certain amount of the length of the bra band, so if you're a 34 B you might be able to get away with a 32 C or a 36 A. By going up in the cup and down in the band, or vice versa, you may be able to get a comparable fit.

UNDERSTANDING A GOOD FIT:

The middle of the bra, where the underwire meets, should be flush against your sternum. You want to make sure to adjust the shoulder straps so that you can snugly fit two fingers between your shoulder and the strap. The back band should be parallel to the ground and graze the bottom of your shoulder blades, while also being able to fit two fingers underneath. You want to avoid a band that only really fits on the tightest clasp, as well — when it starts to stretch out, it's gonna be way too loose. Finally, make sure those tatas are secure! They shouldn't be spilling over or under the cups and there should be no gaping at the top of the bra.

CUP SIZE and BREAST SIZE are DIFFERENT:

Just because you're a 32 C, it doesn't mean that every bra that comes in a 32 C is going to be right for your 32 C chest. Even though your measurements put you at that size, the fit is just as important.

Understand your breast shape and shop for bra styles accordingly.

TRY ON The BRA As If YOU Are ACTUALLY GOING To WEAR The BRA:

You can't figure out how something is going to fit you day-to-day when you're just standing there straight. Stand, jump, and bend over to see how the bra is going to do in real life situations.

KNOW What YOU WANT From YOUR BRA:

Know what you want out of a bra and don't let someone talk you out of what's going to make you happy.

IN FORM says;

EXPECT To BE TREATED With RESPECT:

It's only natural to be a bit uncomfortable with the prospect of undressing in front of a stranger.It is a common reason many women never obtain a professional fitting. But keep in mind that fit specialists help young ladies and women all the time. Not unlike the doctor-patient relationship, it's just business.  Fitters are present to help solve your problems.  Of course, every bra customer has her own comfort level when it comes to matters of modesty. Some are completely at ease with the thought of being measured in their skivvies; others, especially tweens and teens, are often more modest  If you are uncomfortable being measured in your bra, you can request to be measured over your shirt.  While not quite as accurate, it is still better than not being measured at all.  Remember – never be shy about communicating your thoughts to the fitter.

EXPECT To LEAVE With A NEW CONFIDENCE:

Whether you end up buying an entire new bra wardrobe, or leave the store with no bras at all, you will learn something about what you like and do not like. You will also become familiar with the telltale signs that it is time for a new bra. Perhaps the best takeaway of all will be the feeling of confidence you will carry with you each time you go bra shopping in the future.
If you have never been professionally fitted for a bra, now is as good a time as any to have it done. Fit specialists are waiting to help you. So many different silhouettes exist that having a pseudo-personal shopper assist you will speed your search, in addition to ensuring you gain a proper fit. If you are fed up with your current bra and think nothing will ever work for you, make some time and treat yourself to a bra fitting. You might just create your own fairy-taleending.

The LINGERIE ADDICT  speaks on WHEN GOING For a BRA FITTING At a MALL:

BE BODY POSITIVE:

Do NOT blame yourself if the bra frames in a store, especially a one-brand store, do not work well for you. Blame the bra frame. I will attempt to suggest a silhouette that will work best for you, suggestions of what to look for in your next bra, and brands if applicable.

BRA FITTINGS At a MALL STORE Are NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE To Be ON-To-ONE:

Have patience and block out time in your schedule so the Bra Fitter can spend more time with you. She has to check for additional sizes in the back, open more fitting rooms, clean out the fitting rooms and rehang and refold merchandise in addition to straightening the store merchandise in the room closest to the fitting rooms. So please do not expect her to be glued to your fitting room door. She will strive to be back in the fitting room and spend as much time with you as you need, but; if it is a busy day, she may not be able to provide the best experience for you.

YOU Are NOT Just YOUR BRA SIZE;

Your best fit size will vary from brand to brand, and within the brand itself depending on the bra frame. Please keep in mind that both the cup and the band size of your best fit may change from bra to bra. Importantly, keep an open mind about your best fit size. You are not a letter and a number.

YOU May MAVE To TRY ON SEVERAL STYLES And FRAMES, And; YOU May HAVE To GO To MORE Than ONE STORE:

Some customers expect that the first bra they try on will meet all their wildest hopes and expectations, and walk out the door confident that none of the bras in the store will fit them, when all they needed to do was communicate with the fitting room attendant about their needs. You cannot tell your Bra Fitter too much, or show too much for that matter. You had a tumor removed from one breast? You’ve had a mastectomy and use a prosthetic? You have scoliosis? You have to comfortably accommodate your TENS unit for your back pain? You’re nursing or pregnant? It’s difficult for you to reach the middle of your back? Your breasts are sensitive? Whatever the case, it’s her job to help you find a bra frame that fits you best and accommodates your needs. She cannot know your needs unless you tell her.

If YOU Are UNCOMFORTABLE With YOUR Experience... LEAVE:

The experience is all about the fittee, and your Bra Fitter is not doing her job  if you are not comfortable standing in front of her wearing your bra. It sends a strong message that she is not doing her best and there is something lacking in their service to you. If you feel comfortable doing so, leave the store manager feedback about your experience, so that they may better serve you< and everyone who comes in after you.

MARIE CLAIRE says;

TWO BREASTS, NOT FOUR:

The front wires should lie flat against your breast bone between your boobs. Your boobs should be completely enclosed in the cups with a smooth line where the fabric at the top of the cup meets the top of your boobs (don’t be greedy ladies; it’s about 2 boobs and not four!)
The wires at the side should also sit flat to your rib and definitely not encroach on the boob itself, as this can be damaging to the tissue (yep, whoops).

BACK SIZE:

Getting the back size right is apparently one of our biggest bra misdemeanours. Too big and it will ride up and not provide the support needed. Most of the heavy lifting is done by the back band so let it do the hard work, so your shoulder and back don’t have to. The right back size, as well as being way more comfortable, surprisingly seems to offer up a few welcome added extras by way of a more slim-lined look (a.k.a down with the dreaded back fat). Double bonus.

AFTERCARE:

HAND WASH.

 Hassle, yes, but your bras (and bank balance) will thank you for it when they keep their shape much better and for longer. Remember that baggy t shirt you now wear to bed that was once fitted and your wardrobe go-to? Yep, it might be comfy but really it doesn’t offer what it once did. Remember to replace bras, around every 6 months if you wear them regularly.

LADIES;

PLEASE remember that if you wear a bra, wearing a properly-fitted bra is a crucial ingredient towards your overall GOOD BREAST HEALTH.

PLEASE do not ever attempt to SELF-DIAGNOSE. If you feel that you are having BREAST HEALTH ISSUES, do not hesitate to contact your physician.

HAPPY TAKE OFF YOUR BRA, GO GET A PROPERLY-FITTED BRA, TAKE CARE Of YOUR BREASTS, And TAKE CARE Of YOURSELVES BRALESS THURSDAY!!!

PEACE, LOVE, And BEAUTIFUL, BOUNTIFUL BRALESS THURSDAY BLESSINGS;
