Renault isn’t a company many people think about all that often, but the return of its sub-brand Alpine is making people take notice. The A110 is a revival of sports car that won the World Rally Championship in 1973. The numbers aren’t crazy—0-60 in 4.5, top speed of 155—but that means the price won’t be either, making this a great choice for a driver who wants a high-performance car, but may not have high-performance cash.

ASTON MATIN VALKYRIE
Aston Martin, the guys who make James Bond’s ride, have been working on a project with the head of Red Bull Racing, i.e. a guy who builds insane Formula 1 cars. Now that project has a name: Valkyrie. Aston Martin didn’t provide many details about the car, but all you need to do is look at it to get a sense of how insane this car’s performance will be.

KOENIGSEGG AGERA RS GRYPHON
The Koenigsegg Agera RS was already an over-the-top hypercar, so taking that to another level for the Gryphon edition was going to require something special. Koenigsegg accomplished this by adorning the carbon fiber body with 24 carat gold. Yes, gold. Because the only way to drive a 1,360-horsepower car is when it’s covered in gold.

McLAREN 720S
McLaren revealed the successor to the 650S and it appears to be a worthy heir. Featuring even more structural carbon fiber to reduce weight, the 720S has 710 horsepower. While its 0-60 time is just .1 second faster than the 650S, the 720S reveals its beastliness as speeds increase, going from 0-124 mph in 7.8 seconds, .6 seconds faster than its predecesso

MERCEDES-BENZ AMG-GT CONCEPT
Continuing the trend of 4-door cars that can go really, really fast, the folks at Mercedes took their pinnacle sports car badge, the AMG-GT, and slapped it on a car the kids can sit in back in. The hybrid engine features a V8 and an electric motor that allow it to produce 805 horsepower. It also borrows a lot of design language from the two-door AMG-GTs, which is a very good thing

PORSCHE PANAMERA SPORT TURISMO
THIS is a Porsche station wagon. Up until a few years ago, the idea of four doors on a Porsche was unthinkable. But then came the Cayenne and then the Panamera. Now there is this variation on a shooting brake and it looks pretty damn awesome. The extended roof provides greater headroom and more storage. Other than that, it’s pretty much a standard Panamera. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

ROLLS-ROYCE GHOST
he Double R created a new paint color called Diamond Stardust that features 1,000 crushed diamonds to create the metallic sparkle effect typically achieved with silica and glass. Not surprisingly, this is the most expensive paint option you can get on a Rolls, not that the person who’d be buying a diamond-encrusted car would be deterred by such plebian things as price.
