MOJO'S MOTOWN EATERY
880 MARTIN LUTHER KING, Jr. DRIVE SW
ATLANTA, GA 30314
MONDAY - SATURDAY: 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM EST
Located at 880 MLK, MOJO'S MOTOWN EATERY is no stranger to The ATL. However; this is their NEW location, having relocated from their previous location at 530 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. in HISTORIC WEST END ATLANTA.
They are currently situated between the traffic lights of Joseph E. Lowery Blvd. and James P. Brawley Dr., which puts them just one block from the intersection of MLK and JEL, and; just a few short blocks from CLARK ATLANTA UNIVERSITY (CAU), and the other institutions of the ATLANTA UNIVERSITY CENTER (AUC).
MOJO'S MOTOWN EATERY MENU would probably be best described as CLASSIC BURGERS And SOUL FOOD, with the MOJO BURGER being their Signature Dish.
Yours Truly CCG decided to go with the MOJO BEEF CHEESEBURGER - Fully Dressed (photo above), which is an ALL-BEEF BURGER PATTY stuffed with Mushrooms, Bacon, and Cheese, and; topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, and Cheese, and; dressed with Mustard, Mayonnaise, and Ketchup between two thick slices of TEXAS TOAST.
A Cheeseburger STUFFED With CHEESE And BACON?!?!?
The MOJO comes with fries, but; for a small upcharge of one dollar, Ya Boy was able to have ONION RINGS as a substitute.
At MOJO'S, your meal is cooked to order and prepared to your specifications, so; you will wait a few minutes longer than if you were at a fat food establishment.
However; EVERYTHING was HOT and/or FRESH. The burger and stuffings were all reasonably-seasoned and well-cooked, and the toppings were cool, firm, and fresh. The rings were nice slices of onion, well-seasoned, nicely-battered, and fresh-out-of-the-grease HOT.
EXTRA EXTRA: Mojo's serves KOOL-AID!!! CCG had GRAPE.
Niece had what she always has; 10-piece LEMON PEPPER WINGS. However; instead of fries, she had FRIED OKRA, and drank Sweet Tea.
You know CCG had to sample a wing and a few pieces of okra.
Again; everything was hot and fresh. The wings were well-seasoned and the lemon pepper was nice, but; not overwhelming. They have the BEST Fried Okra.
GOOD FOOD. GOOD LOCATION, GOOD SERVICE, GOOD TIMES!!!
