I LOVE 2 EAT #108: BGR GRILLE!!!

Wednesday evening, Yours Truly CCG was truly NOT in the mood for cooking, and was in search of a spot that was close to home to he and Niece to have dinner, so he could get her home, and then return to the crib before 9:00 PM EST in time to catch FOX drama, EMPIRE!!!

We arrived at about 6:30 PM to a house that was about one-quarter full with Dine-In patrons, and a line of 4 - 5 patrons who were awaiting their Take-Out orders. So lucky for us, the place wasn't packed, but; it was steadily busy.

And; there were only two people running the joint.

HOWEVER, as it turns out, the two gentlemen running the joint were father and son, who are also the OWNERS of the establishment.

The father is also a professor at ATLANTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE, and his son is a student at MOREHOUSE COLLEGE.

NICE!!!

The BGR GRILLE MENU is a gastronomic delight of American Cuisine done with a touch of flair.

BURGERS, WINGS, SEAFOOD, and TACOS are amongst their plethora of offerings, and with most of their burgers, you have the option of having STEAK, or; TURKEY MEAT.

CCG decided to go with The SOUTHERNER BURGER and SWEET POTATO FRIES (photo below).

The Southerner Burger with Sweet Potato Fries was a Steak Burger topped with Applewood Bacon, 1 Fried Egg, 1 Fried Green Tomato, 1 Onion Ring, and dressed with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Smoked Mayonnaise, Mustard, and Ketchup. The Sweet Potato Fries were sprinkled with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar,

You have your choice of levels of preparation, i.e., Medium, Medium Well, Well, etc.

SWEET!!!

Their burgers most definitely require TWO HANDS, and Ya Boy CCG would NOT be mad at you if you requested a knife and fork. There really is THAT MUCH going on with their burgers.

When given the option, CCG prefers to have his meat cooked WELL DONE. So the burger was done just right for Ya Boy. The Applewood Bacon was tender-firm with a very slight crunch. The Fried Egg was Sunny Side Up, The Fried Green Tomato was tender, juicy, and slightly slaty-sweet, and the Onion Ring was a nicely-sized slice with a slight salt and pepper kick to the batter.

The Sweet Potato Fries were steak-sized fries, fried firm on the outside and tender on the inside, and sprinkled with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar.

Niecey had the 10-Piece LEMON PEPPER WINGS with FRIES.

She is 12 years old. She had Wings and Fries. She says they were "GOOD". She graciously allowed her uncle to sample a wing.

The wing was nicely fried, and the Lemon Pepper was nice, with the Lemon and Pepper flavors smoothly accenting the meat, so that it was not all... LEMON PEPPERY!!!

Ordered The SOUTHERNER BURGER (Turkey Burger) with FRIES to-go for Sis.

She has since reported that her dinner was DELICIOUS!!!

GOOD FOOD, GOOD LOCATION, GOOD SERVICE, GOOD TAKE-OUT, GOOD TIMES!!!
