I LOVE 2 EAT #93: LA PARRILLA MEXICAN RESTAURANT!!!

This past weekend was the JULY 4th HOLIDAY WEEKEND, so after church, Sis suggested that we go out for a Sunday Family Dinner.

At about 1:30, our party of 5 - Sis, Bro-n-law, Niecy, Big Mike, and Yours Truly CCG arrived to a very busy, very full house. Yet fortunately, we only waited about 10 minutes before we were seated.

LA PARRILLA bills itself as The FRIENDLY TASTE Of MEXICO, and to that end - the atmosphere is very casual. This franchise is smack dab in the middle of The DISTRICT At HOWELL MILL SHOPPING MALL, located in the area now known as Atlanta West Midtown.

Entering the front door, patrons get a big hello from their sound system which continuously plays Mexican music, and the spacious full-service bar in the center of the establishment that appears to comfortably seat 15 - 20, and features 2 HD flat screen TVs.

The décor is ALL-THINGS Mexico, with ample Booth and Table Seating to the left and right of the bar. Seating capacity appears to be 100 - 105.

There are HD flat screen TVs throughout the restaurant.

The LA PARRILLA MENU is quite extensive, featuring an array of Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Entrée Combinations, Nachos, Seafood, Steaks, Traditional Mexican Cuisine, and so much MORE. The Beverage Menu will tackle even the heartiest thirst.

Your meal gets going with a basket of warm Tortilla Chips and mildly spicy Salsa.

CCG decided to go with the BURRITO Del MAR (photo immediately above); which is flavorful Grilled Shrimp, Tilapia and Pico de Gallo. It is smothered with their homemade Salsa Ranchera and Cheese Dip, and can be had with or without Jalapeños. BURRITO Del MAR is served with with Mexican Rice and Mexican Refried Beans topped with Cheese. CCG drank Sweet Tea.

NICE!!!

The Burrito was a generously-sized tender-warm tortilla satisfyingly filled with evenly-seasoned, well-cooked tender shrimp and chunks of tilapia that are complemented with Pico de Gallo. It is smothered, yet NOT drowned in their unique cheese dip and lightly spicy, yet NOT hot - salsa ranchero.

The burrito is excellently complemented with a scoop of Mexican rice and a bowl of tender-thick Mexican refried beans topped with cheese.

Everything Warm, Tender, and Tasty.

SWEEEEET!!!

GOOD FOOD, GOOD CONVERSATION, GOOD ATMOSPHERE, GOOD LOCATION, GOOD SERVICE, GOOD TIMES!!!
