CRAZY COOL GROOVY CONGRATULATIONS goes out to TYRUS JONES who on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, was sworn in as the FIRST BLACK FEMALE MAYOR of PARMA, MO!!!

However; her celebration was short-lived, as on Wednesday, April 15, five of the city's six Police Officers (80% of Police Force), the City Attorney, City Clerk, and Waste Water Plant Supervisor resigned from their respective offices.

The resignations were immediately effective, citing "Safety Concerns."

KFVS 12 St. LOUIS  reports Mayor TYRUS BYRD said she was unaware of the situation and asked questions about the "safety concerns" during Tuesday night's ceremony.

Former Mayor RANDALL RAMSEY served the city of Parma for 37 years during two different terms.

He lost the election by 37 votes.

Mayor BYRD served as city clerk in the past. She was born and raised in Parma and also does missionary work.

  1. ashamed of that town, stop being so closed minded. 700 hundred people and only six police officers, they should question that. There is so much going on in this country, there are people who wants to bomb us,and your worried about a elected black mayor, out of 700 hundred people how many were white that voted for her? do the math.
