Monday, January 15, Yours Truly CCG took a trip into midtown ATL for the pleasure of going to the APACHE CAFE to attend the BOHEMIAN CIRCUS: PANGEA'S GARDEN - AFROSENSUAL SOCIAL, which is described as a celebration of all things AfroSensual that takes place on the second Monday of each month.

APACHE CAFE is also a restaurant, featuring Head Chef IAN PETERSON running the kitchen. The APACHE CAFE MENU offers cuisine with well-balanced flavors, richly interesting textures, and focused presentations.

Ya Boy CCG was Ballin' on a BUDGET, so he decided to go with the QUESADILLA PLATE (photo below).


The QUESADILLA PLATE is three soft flour tortillas lightly-grilled and stuffed with Jack Cheese, Salsa, Sour Cream, and your choice of filling. CCG went with the filling of  GRILLED SHRIMP And CHICKEN. A cup of spicy salsa accompanied the quesadillas.

The tortilla shells are grilled just enough for a proper firmness and warmth that will maintain a sufficient temperature for the inner filling. The shrimp and chicken are well-cooked, lightly-seasoned, bite-sized, and well-complemented by the sour cream. The salsa gives that additional spicy kick.

However, the Quesadilla Plate is strictly A' La Carte. Next time CCG will be better prepared.
