"Love can be complicated, happy, confused, beautiful, angry, disappointing and magical all at the same time. Trail Mix has a lot of different flavors and textures—but it is still an appealing snack.”LOVE'S TRAIL MIX tells stories of love from various perspectives, but it is short and sweet and parallels the “trail mix” metaphor.
"As Dallas Archer was being booked into the Kingsport jail, a female corrections officer alerted to an “unknown object” in the teenager’s crotch during a search
The jailer and a female cop then accompanied Archer to a bathroom for further examination, a review that led to the recovery of a “North American Arms 22 LR revolver (loaded) which Ms. Dallas had concealed in her vagina,” according to a Kingsport Police Department report.
A subsequent check revealed that the five-shot mini-revolver… had been “stolen from an auto burglary in 2013.”DALLAS ARCHER was charged with GUN POSSESSION and INTRODUCING CONTRABAND Into A PENAL FACILITY.
“As the show evolved, we decided to call it “30 Americans”, rather than “African Americans” or “Black Americans” because nationality is a statement of fact, while racial identity is a question each artist answers in his or her own way, or not at all.”SUNO Professor in the MASTER OF ARTS In MUSEUM SCIENCE Dr. SARA HOLLIS has the Full 411 on the 30 AMERICANS exhibition in the current issue of the NEW ORLEANS TRIBUNE.

“I have an independent hustler’s spirit. That drives me to this day. I never want to ask anyone for anything.”On how ALL Women can have it ALL:
1. Never Stop Doing You – “The difference with me is that when I first got to know my husband I was already hosting MTV’s Total Request Live, so I came with a full career,” she says.
2. Accept That Having It All Will Require Blood, Sweat and Stilettos – When asked about balancing a family, career and friendships, Anthony responded saying, “It’s tough. I always say that people who think it isn’t aren’t being honest.”
3. Sex May Sell, But Love Keeps You Off the Market – “If you don’t try to spice it up and keep it sexy, anyone can get bored but the key is really taking time with each other,” advises Anthony.-CCG
“I had things about myself that I [didn’t] like. I [would always say] ‘I wish I had this, I wish I had that.’ I used to have this thing about my legs. If you look at all of the Destiny’s Child albums from when I was a part of the group, you never saw me in a skirt. I was always the one who wore the pants, because I felt like my legs were too skinny. You want your boobs to grow; you want all kind of things to happen. Eventually things fill out — and sometimes they fill out too much!”On her role in upcoming biopic film, FROM THE ROUGH, which tells the true story of TENNESSEE STATE UNIVERSITY TIGERS Professor/Former MEN'S GOLF Coach Dr. CANTANA STARKS:
“She did this on her own, by herself without a lot to work with, and she did some amazing things with these boys. Not only in helping them to grow in their craft, but also to grow them up as young men. Taraji did an amazing job with this. She taught me a lot, I learned a lot from just watching her on set. It’s one of the first films [I’ve done.] And the story of [Stark's] life … is just crazy. I was blessed to meet her."On the importance of recognizing and celebrating the sacrifices of our ancestors:
“I think it’s very important, especially in our community, to celebrate the hard work of people who sacrifice themselves and their time to try and better people. And regardless of — especially with Catana — [who] was dealing with things on her own but was so selfless. She opened the doors for so many women. And as a matter of fact, one of the guys she coached ended up being Tiger Woods’ golf coach,”On how she has entered and embraced the acting profession:
“I was kind of thrown into this [acting] thing. My first audition was [the 2010 Christian drama] Preacher’s Kid. Four days before the shoot date, they called and asked me if I wanted to play the lead role. I had not done a movie before — [so] to carry a movie on my back on my own with no training, no nothing? I hadn’t been to school for this! But God had a plan for me. An acting coach, Troy Rowland, guided me through that whole thing. Since then I have been bitten by the bug and I am head-over-heels in love with it. I’m passionate about it. I study; I go to classes. I just want to get better and better and I think with each experience — movie, TV show or whatever — I grow. But it’s harder than it looks. I have a whole new appreciation for my favorite actors now. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to do. And I’m blessed to even have the opportunity to grow in it.”
