“In the past year I think I’ve lost around 30lbs, and I’m feeling good… I’ve worked very hard on my body so I think now I can sex it up a little! My 2014 mission is to wear a crop top with jeans. I’ve never done that so it has to happen one day.”KHLOE on not taking herself, or her big vagina, too seriously:
“I never take myself seriously. When I joke about my camel toe or my big vagina on TV, I don’t realise how many people are watching! I’m with my sisters and we’re the same off camera – that’s how sisters are. Then I go out and someone will say, ‘Oh, my god I have a big vagina too!’ I’m like, ‘WHAT?’ That’s when I can’t believe I said that out loud. But I love to be silly and make people laugh. It’s a compliment, and liberating to think my sisters and I might make other women feel OK about talking about this stuff too.”KHLOE on her self body image:
“She didn’t mean harm, but when I was around nine I overheard my mom telling her friend I needed a nose job. I was shocked; I hadn’t even thought about it. I’ve grown into my face, but I’ve had makeup artists tell me, ‘You should get a nose job.’”
Despite working in an industry that is reliant on image, the newly separated reality star is happy to be au naturale. “I’m so happy that I never have…I’m proud for losing weight when I wanted to and I’ve never resorted to surgery. I’m not against it – one day I probably will but it would be on my terms. I won’t be bullied into it by social media or anyone else. I love my body and always have done.”-CCG
"It sounded like it was from just one gun. There were a lot of people in the club. I heard the first couple of shots and felt the blow."DENEKA BULLOCK and LEA EPPS, both 21 and also from MONTGOMERY, planned the vigil and used the gathering to call for community members to address gun violence.
"It's time for us as a society, we have to stop leaving it to our elders to want change, we have to want it for ourselves. We have to stop putting down our books and picking up guns. We are losing a lot of young people, very young. And I think that it's time that we just stop the violence now."-CCG
"When did I start prostituting? I always have. I mean I always thought you had to give up your body for food or to find a place to sleep. I never knew it had a fancy name like prostitution till I was like 16. I just knew it as the way a girl lived on the streets.”
“Men come here. They buy me drugs. I do as much as I can. Heroin ‘cause I like to forget and crack to wake me up.”
“I was clean for about two years. I went looking for my birth parents. My mom died from drugs when I would of been ten. My dad, nobody knows who that man was.”
“I am more than just a naked prostitute who smokes crack. I may seem comfortable being that but I am not.”
“I hate what I do. I feel guilty and embarrassed by being out here hustling. I get clean and somehow I keep coming back. It’s the only thing I know, the only place I have power.”CARMELA laments on the life filled with love that she has always wanted, never had the chance to have, and hence; for the love that it seems - she has stopped looking.
“You know what I have always wanted to be? A square. That kid who did everything right and had parents who hugged them and told them how much they loved them.”
“Love? There is no love out here. People only want what they can get from you then they throw you away. I stopped trying to find love.”CARMELA writes;
Don’t worry if you hear me cry,
I am just letting out the frustration inside.
Don’t worry if you hear me yell, “Go to hell”
I am just tired of him saying you better not tell.
Don’t worry if I seem tired and weak,
Its just my soles are worn from hustling in these streets.
Don’t worry about me,
Because I am a survivor,
I’ll always eat."
