PEACE And GREETINGS;
Two weeks ago today, Thursday, September 5; Yours Truly, CCG celebrated Birthday #........., and one week ago tomorrow, Friday, September 13; Sis celebrated Birthday #..................!!!
Sis planned this SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS combined birthday celebration that took place Saturday, September 8, 2013.
CHEF ROB'S CARIBBEAN CAFE & UPSCALE LOUNGE
5920 ROSWELL ROAD
SANDY SPRINGS, GA 30328
Sunday (12:00pm- 9:00pm)
Take 1-285 N, exit at EXIT #25 - ROSWELL ROAD, turn left onto ROSWELL ROAD, drive about 3-4 blocks, and you will find CHEF ROB'S CARIBBEAN CAFE & UPSCALE LOUNGE tucked inside of a shopping plaza to your left.
Our full party of about 12 people arrived at about 6:00 pm. Sis, Bro-in-Law, Niecy, Auntie and her two daughters - AK and AM, Naj, PB, BZS, Auntie's sister - B, their Niecy A, her new baby boy, and CCG, made up the crew. We were seated in a cozy little corner that although near the restrooms, gave us full viewing access to 2 of the several flatscreen TV's that are mounted on the walls of the Dining Room.
The café was moderately bust when we were seated, but; by 7:00, the restaurant was near capacity, and they were getting busy with setting the mood for the CHEF ROB'S UPSCALE LOUNGE, which is next door.
On the dining floor, there is an ample amount of both table and booth seating, and there is high-chair/table seating adjacent to the Dining Room bar.
CHEF ROB'S MENU is a diverse collection of cuisine that is inspired by the various nations of the West Indies.
Their culinary acumen includes a full range of meats, various types of fish and seafood, and an array of vegetables. They even have a few Vegetarian dishes.
CCG had the BBQ SPARE RIBS (photo below), with Collard Greens, Coconut Rice, and Mango Sweet Tea to drink.
The BBQ SPARE RIBS were very well-seasoned, falling-off-the-bone fork-tender, did not need a knife for cutting, and were full of smoky barbeque flavor - without any aspect of the meat being overwhelming.
The Collard Greens were cooked to reasonable tenderness, yet, still maintained a nice light crunchiness, so that the greens were not limp and wimpy.
CCG was having his first Coconut Rice experience, and it was very pleasing. The rice was lightly-seasoned, flaky, not gummy; and had a light sweetness.

The combined birthday cake (photos below) came courtesy of ADONAI DESSERTS, that is owned and operated by our church member, Chef KIMBERLY HOUSTON.
THANXXX to Chef KIMBERLY, the cake made it a real CELEBRATION!!!
GOOD FOOD, GOOD COMPANY,GOOD CAKE, GOOD LOCATION, GOOD SERVICE, GOOD TIMES!!!
PEACE, LOVE, And BLESSINGS;
