CCG SHOOTS: NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FUNERAL CELEBRATION!!!

Meet the TREME 6 BRASS BAND!!!

While still in NEW ORLEANS; on Saturday, July 6, Ya Boy CCG was driving down N. Claiborne Ave., on his way home  from breakfast with a couple of padnahs (friends, buddies) at THE TROLLEY STOP CAFE, when he passed what appeared to be folks at CHARBONNET-LABAT FUNERAL HOME (located at the corner of N. Claiborne Ave. and St. Phillip St.) preparing for a NEW ORLEANS JAZZ FUNERAL CELEBRATION.

Not knowing the deceased, CCG parked under the I-10, and crossed the street toward the funeral home to check out the preparations for the procession.

The TREME 6 BRASS BAND provided the musical inspiration for this part of the FUNERAL, HOMEGOING, and JAZZ FUNERAL CELEBRATION.

HAPPY TREME 6 BRASS BAND SUNDAY MORNING JAZZ At NIGHT!!!

  1. Glad to see many of our African roots are still observed and preserved in N.O.
